It's that time of month, time for a good halloween scare~ There will be six book covers for this week and they all have one thing in common; they can take your breath away (whether it's in a good or bad way)! So enjoy these wonderfully hair-raising covers!
COVER LOVE:
New-girl Lindsay discovers all is not right at the prestigious Marlwood Academy for Girls. Ethereal, popular Mandy and her clique are plotting something dangerous. Lindsay overhears them performing strange rituals, and sees their eyes turn black. It doesn't help that the school itself is totally eerie, with ancient, dilapidated buildings tucked into the Northern California woods, a thick white fog swirling through campus. There are hidden passageways, odd reflections in the windows at night, and scariest of all is the vast lake rumored to have captured the ghost of a girl who drowned many years ago.
What Lindsay doesn't yet realize is that Mandy and her cohorts are becoming possessed by spirits who have haunted the school for two hundred years. Spirits who want someone dead...
And that someone is Lindsay.

I LOVE this cover. I remember first seeing it a year or two ago and being drawn inexplicably to it. I don't know why, I just wanted to read it so bad. I wish the font had been placed better though.

LOVE THIS. It's so eerie and it makes me wonder what's in the stroller. Placement and positioning are spot on! I really like the colours too, how the blue and red stand out in the bleakness! Awesome.

This cover is very pretty, but also slightly creepy. The way that the effects are used make it look really dark and sinister. I love it!

The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child "unwound," whereby all of the child's organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn't technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state is not enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape and to survive.
COVER LOVE:
Maybe it's not necessarily the cover that's got me creeped out in this one (though it's partly that because it reminds me of The Human Centipede movie...). The story seems just so...disturbing. I really want to read it~

She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
But she, for whatever reason, spares Cas's life.

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL COVER. Just, I love it. There's honestly no words I can come up with that describe my awe at the art on this cover. Bravo.
