Holiday Giveaway: Celebrate with the Gods!

TA-DAH!
Yes, as you can see, the big event I was talking about yesterday is a Holiday Giveaway! This will be the VERY first ACTUAL giveaway that I will be doing on this blog. It is to celebrate the holidays as well as the wonderful followers I have accumulated over the past few months. The Holiday Giveaway is a giveaway event I will run every December (depending on if I have any books or swag to give out) to gift my wonderful readers! For this Holiday Giveaway (haha, how many times have I said 'giveaway'?), I am using the first two books in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series by Rick Riordan as the prize (The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters).

I was really debating on whether I wanted to give The Lightning Thief away because I wanted the nice new copy all to myself, but then December is the month to give and my conscience got the better of me.

Percy and the who, you say? Shame on you! Have you been living under a rock?

Well, here's the covers for it, in case that brings back any memories.

...No? Nothing yet? What about the summaries?

The Lightning Thief
"After getting expelled from yet another school for yet another clash with mythological monsters only he can see, twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is taken to Camp Half-Blood, where he finally learns the truth about his unique abilities: He is a demigod, half human, half immortal. Even more stunning: His father is the Greek god Poseidon, ruler of the sea, making Percy one of the most powerful demigods alive. There's little time to process this news. All too soon, a cryptic prophecy from the Oracle sends Percy on his first quest, a mission to the Underworld to prevent a war among the gods of Olympus. --Goodreads"

The Sea of Monsters
"After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson is finding his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any normal friends. But things don't stay quiet for long.

Percy soon discovers there is trouble at Camp Half-Blood: the magical borders that protect Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. To save the camp, Percy needs the help of his best friend, Grover, who has been taken prisoner on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters, the dangerous waters Greek heroes have sailed for millennia. Only today, the Sea of Monsters goes by a new name: The Bermuda Triangle.

Together with his friends, Percy must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the Island of the Cyclopes or Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed. But first, Percy will learn a stunning new secret about his family, one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon's son is an honor or simply a cruel joke. --Goodreads"

Ah, now you've got it, eh? Are you even more excited now? I know I am! I really can't wait to send this off to ONE lucky winner. I bought these with my own money so treat them well! Now, I've babbled on long enough, time for the giveaway!

This giveaway runs from December 1, 2011 to January 1, 2012. You have one month to enter! Good luck! (And sorry in advance for making you jump through flaming hoops located high above the ground and leading to hell :] )

Please read the Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the Rafflecopter form. Thank you!
